Does a Cell Have Consciousness?
Does a Cell Have Consciousness?
Negative and unmanaged emotions set the stage before disease makes its appearance in the mind-body connection. They will feed the disease unless they are resolved, removed, and forgiven. After the negative memories and emotions are addressed, you can re-program your subconscious mind in order to “seal the healings.”
“Mind is ever the builder. That which the body-mind feeds upon, that it gradually becomes.”
-Edgar Cayce
Our conscious minds are only able to process approximately 50 bits of information per second, while our subconscious minds process approximately 11 million bits per second. In other words, our unconscious minds process information 220,000 times faster than our conscious minds! Accessing your subconscious and re-programming it is critical for healing to be complete and lasting.
Here is an assignment, if you choose to do it. Write about any and all of the painful issues, events, and memories of your life. Look carefully at your relationships with your parents, spouses, or ex-spouses, children, friends, etc., living or dead, current or going back to childhood, and write about any part of those relationships that resulted in anger, guilt feelings, or painful memories.
In your writing is healing. This simple act of writing about your feelings, no matter how old or deeply buried, enables you to get in touch with your original emotions.
Your original emotions are buried within the cells of your body, not just the cells in your brain. Edgar Cayce said each cell has its own consciousness. In releasing your emotions through pen and paper, you can stop reliving old hurtful memories. This hand written process allows you to heal properly and completely. Write until you can’t write anymore. More specifically, write until the tears come. Then cry until you can’t cry anymore. With tears comes the releasing of emotions that are connected to your memories and your cells consciousness. And when your emotions are released and healed, your body will follow. Your body always follows your mind.
This is simple, but not always easy. This healing writing guides you from feelings of anger, resentment, fear, pain, and guilt, to feelings of understanding, forgiveness, and love.
The next step after your letter is written is to read it out loud to someone you trust like a family member, a good friend, or a therapist. The Bible tells us in James to “bear ye one another’s burdens,” and “therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” Your chosen person is to listen and make no comments or judgments on what you have written. They are there to encourage and assist you in healing yourself. It might not be easy, but it will be worth it. When you are finished, rip the letter into pieces, and safely burn it!
Your subconscious is not stupid, but takes its clues literally, from what it sees and hears. Your subconscious “sees” the toxic thoughts coming out of your brain, down your arm, into your hand, and out through the pen and onto paper. Then it “hears” the paper being ripped into pieces. It sees and even smells the paper burning and the damaging memories being destroyed. This literally re-programs your subconscious.
By doing this process you are teaching your subconscious mind, that the thoughts and memories which were responsible for initiating the disease process are being released and healed, both at the cellular level and the soul level. Your subconscious gets the message that those old memories are now disconnected from your body and can no longer materialize as disease.
In Proverbs we are told, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” This is one of the most powerful statements in the Bible. Notice the implication that we think not only in our brains but also in our hearts! In actuality, our “brains” are located in all cells throughout our bodies.
The ancient Hebrews were trying to tell us of the intimate connection that exists between our minds and our bodies, and that our bodies truly are manifestations of the workings of our minds.
There is overwhelming evidence that our nervous systems, endocrine systems, and immune systems are in constant dialogue, communicating with the brain through messenger molecules called neuropeptides. These same peptides are the biochemical of emotion and are found in the parts of our brain that control emotion. Because they control opening and closing of the blood vessels in the face, when the emotion of embarrassment comes along, you blush. Throughout your body they carry messages inside your brain, then from your brain to your body and from your body back to your brain, alerting each as to its status and needs.
Recently, neuroscientists have found and traced the nerve threads that run like wires between the human nervous system and the immune system that enable the mind and the immune system to communicate with each other in a continuous loop. For years western medicine assumed they worked independently of each other. Now it is being proven that they never were separate, but actually are two sides of the same coin. Mind and body are parts of an integrated, interdependent whole.
The root of the word “heal” means to “make whole,” or “to bring together.” Holy and health come from the same root also. The word “religion” means “to link together.” Religion brings together that which has become separate, that is self and God, linking again what was fragmented. We are beginning to see that healing and spirituality are at last being reunited after centuries of being perceived as separate. They are and always have been one.
We can change our GENES with the power of our minds and changes in diet and lifestyle! Isn’t this great news?! You are NOT STUCK dealing with the same health issues your parents and grandparents dealt with! You have the power to change this cycle!
We have learned that a mother’s diet during pregnancy can turn DNA off or on.
Astoundingly, one of the few triggers that has ever been proven to BREAK a strand of DNA is a fungus!
In the last few years an emerging field of study called “epigenetics”, which may be the most important discovery since DNA, is turning our understanding of genes and how they function on its head. Epigenetics (epi means above) is the study of the chemical reactions that switch parts of the genome off or on at strategic times and locations. The old biology taught that we are all beholden to the genes we inherited. Epigenetics is proving otherwise.
We are learning that the true secret to life doesn’t rest within our DNA, but rather the mechanisms within the cell membrane. It is the cell membrane that controls the “reading” of the genes inside! Epigenetic studies are proving that cell membranes operate in response to environmental signals picked up by the receptors on the membrane of cells. This response controls the reading of the genes. How the membrane reacts to your diet, thoughts, and lifestyle is what influences your tendency to express disease. Our DNA is simply a blueprint we have the ability to change.
In other words, our minds control genetic expression and our thoughts are the creative catalysts in our lives. Cells respond to the energetic messages coming from our positive and negative thoughts. This epigenetic “flexibility” helps to explain why identical twins, with identical DNA, can develop different diseases, and why genetically identical cells placed in different Petri dishes exhibit different gene expressions depending on information received from various environments.
All this proves we are not victims of our own heredity. Genes and DNA do NOT control our biology. It is our thoughts, attitudes, perceptions, and diet that have mastery over our genes and dictate which genes are turned on and which genes are turned off. Our emotions can trigger our genes to express either health or disease. So we can no longer whine, “Oh, it’s all in my genes so what can I do?” This proves there is a LOT you can do. You CAN change your genetic codes by what you eat and how you live and think. Changes in diet and lifestyle can TRUMP genes! When that occurs you become a victor over your life instead of a victim of your life.
The suppression of anger or emotions has been shown to be associated with a higher statistical probability of cancer. Could cancer be suppressed emotion stored in the cells of the body? A great part of the healing of this vicious disease is the art of gently leading the patient to paper and pen.
That is what modern medicine has forgotten. The sick body being treated is attached to a mind that is sick with worry, stress, old wounds, and negative thought patterns. In order for it to heal completely, physicians must address the mind and help their patients rid themselves of their old baggage. Otherwise the disease will be driven deeper and deeper into body tissue through prescription drugs and erupt later in a more virulent and deadly form when the immune system is low.
Prayer, meditation, and visualization also are recommended to help patients rethink faulty or negative thought patterns. In Matthew, Jesus told the centurion, “Go thou way, and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.” Jesus knew the value of thinking right thoughts, the power of positive thinking, and creative visualization. He knew and taught the power of faith.
Jesus also urged us in John, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” He knew that worry and fear can eat up the mind, and at some point would manifest as disease. However, laughter, and fun are very important components in any healing program. In Proverbs we are told, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Candida overgrowth eats bone causing osteoporosis!
It is in the healing letter where you abandon judging others, and yourself, release guilt and pain, and find yourself in a place of peace and understanding called forgiveness. When we forgive others of mistakes, faults, and sins, we forgive ourselves of our own mistakes, faults, and sins. Soon, emotional and physical healing will follow as the heavy burden of lugging around anger, resentment, fear, hatred is removed and discarded.
Jesus reminded us many times of the importance of reconciliation and forgiveness. Just as God lovingly forgave mankind for the many sins that were committed against Him, so must the followers of Christ forgive their friends, families, neighbors, enemies, and themselves for their faults and sins. They must love each other unconditionally and without reservations, having regard for nothing but the soul.
In Matthew, Jesus instructed His followers to never approach the altar for worship if they had unresolved issues, telling them, “Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled with your brother and then offer your gift.”
No one can honor God by bringing ulcerating issues to His table. Reconciliation and forgiveness, a pure heart and a clear conscience are required before we can open a dialogue with Him. Only then can we approach the altar and offer Him our gift.
Through forgiveness and reconciliation, the sins and mistakes of others, and ourselves are thrown out to the past, which doesn’t exist anymore. They no longer have a grip or hold on us, and we find ourselves living in a place of love.
Only true healing can take place in this place of love, for a person cannot be healed mentally, physically, and spiritually, if he is infested with hate, envy, resentment, and emotional pain. Only when they are lifted can love fill all the empty spaces. That love will enable you to think only the thoughts that serve you.
