Foods That Candida Thrive On

The food you eat has the power to alter your biochemistry, the chemical process of your body and mind. In other words, what you choose NOT to eat has both the power to alter your body chemistry and to heal you.

It’s time to take a look at what is going to heal you, or the avoidance of some foods. Food can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. Let’s take a look at the foods that Candida Albicans thrives on.

I am going to help you starve your yeast/beast to death!

By eliminating yeast-provoking food and beverages, you will slow down and reverse the yeast load your body has to deal with. For too long yeasts have been living the high life, eating you for breakfast, lunch, dinner and probably even snacks. Now, instead of their absorbing and eliminating you, you are going to absorb and eliminate them!

Instead of them eating you alive, you are going to eat them dead!

Don’t forget that Nature is a slow and steady healer. You didn’t get ‘sick’ overnight and you are not going to heal overnight either.

The average person needs to eliminate these foods for at least three months. If you have a more serious illness, eliminate these foods for at least six months. If you have severe mental symptoms, make a commitment to eliminate these foods for a year. After these time frames, most people feel so good they choose to keep them eliminated. Don’t look at this plan as a “diet” but a “die-off” because that is essentially what is going to happen. If you will view it not as a life sentence, but as a sentence to life, you will help yourself stay on the yeast free track. Now, let’s get started on the foods that Candida thrive on.

Sugar and Carbohydrates

Yeast’s favorite food is sugar. Yes, sugar. It is not a coincidence that Candida overgrowth is called “the twentieth century dis-ease” because refined sugar is the “twentieth century food.”

We are all born with a set of genes, but the interpretation of those genes is NOT set in stone! You can choose whether you want to live by genetics or epigenetics. Just because you may have a gene for breast cancer does not mean that you will develop it! Genes can be activated or neutralized by many variables, including lack of nutrition, lifestyle, and even your thoughts and emotions. As an example, cancer genes can be “switched on” with lack of nutrition. The cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and kale) greatly reduce gene interpretation. So it is NOT your genes that determine your future health, but the interpretation of those genes that is critical.

The impact from consuming sugar lasts fourteen days! During which time your cells switch off genetic controls designed to protect your body against both diabetes and heart disease. With your controls in the “off” position, dis-ease is given free reign allowing Candida overgrowth to thrive.

Sugar neutralizes your endorphins, also known as your happy hormone. Depression is extensive among ‘sugarholics’ (and alcoholics) for this very reason.

The number one item you need to remove from your kitchen is sugar. This means white sugar, brown sugar, turbinado sugar, date sugar, agave syrup, molasses, corn syrup, and anything that ends with “ose”, e.g., fructose, sucrose, lactose, maltose. “Ose” means sugar.

Breads

Of course, all breads and foods that contain yeast or yeast extract must be eliminated.

Here’s a really cool experiment to do with your kids and/or grandkids. If you want to see how yeast works. Get a package of baker’s yeast and place the contents into a bowl. Add a little warm water and watch as the yeast begin to bubble and ferment. Then, sprinkle on a little sugar. The yeast will explode in numbers as they metabolize the sugar, produce ethanol (alcohol), and release carbon dioxide. (Baker’s yeast is used to produce glycerol, an ingredient in the manufacture of explosives!) In the bowl you are witnessing exactly what goes on inside your body. The proper mix of warmth, moisture, and sugar provide the perfect environment for fermentation (the perfect storm for Candida overgrowth to thrive).

After the U.S. population reached 200 million, we had to start storing grains in what is called silos (building tall metal vats that sweat). The moisture and warmth encourage the growth of yeast, mildew, and mold. Therefore, all grains are contaminated to some degree. Corn is 100 percent contaminated with mold. Fungi attack grains from the point of planting, though growth and storage, to harvest for their carbohydrates (fungi’s favorite food). One of the most common grain molds, aflatoxin, is the most carcinogenic substance known to man. This is why so many people are allergic to grains.

Why isn’t the yeast in baked bread killed by the heat of the oven? Yeast is killed by the baking process. But their mycotoxins, in the grains, are heat-stable and are NOT killed by the heat. They are still viable and destructive allowing Candida overgrowth to thrive.

Alcohol

All alcohol beverages have yeast because all alcohol is the result of fermentation. Alcohol kills the friendly bacteria in the gut, resulting in yeast overgrowth. Alcohol itself is pure yeast mycotoxin. Any fruit juice with a high sugar content can be used to produce an alcoholic beverage. Grape juice is the most common.

Brewer’s yeast is the fungus used to ferment grain into alcohol. Beer, (liquid bread) is made in much the same way as wine, only malt (made from barley or oats) is used instead of grape juice.

Liquors are made by yeast fermenting corn mash into bourbon, barley malt into scotch, sugar cane into rum, rye grains into rye whiskey’s, fruit juices into brandy, and potatoes into vodka. Fermentation is the key.

Inside your body, yeast can ferment you into mush as it creates dis-ease. Even when drinking in moderation, alcohol increases a woman’s chance of developing breast cancer. For women who drink one-to-two drinks per day, the risk of developing breast cancer is approximately 10 percent and rises to 30-40 percent in women who drink four or more drinks a day.

Alcoholics have huge crops of yeast screaming to be fed! Alcoholism is basically a yeast/sugar addiction. Probiotics and nutrition have helped many alcoholics to overcome this terrible dis-ease by quieting and eventually silencing the continuous cravings of the yeast/beast.

Milk and Milk Products

Cows, cow’s milk, and country meadows have become part of the American idiom. We have grown up on the teaching of the “four food groups”. Cow’s milk was designed for baby cows.  Period. It is very hard for your human body to break down and digest the milk of cows because cows’ milk cells are much bigger than the cells of human breast milk. foods candida thrive on

Cow’s milk has lactose, or milk sugar, which allows yeast to thrive!

Many researchers believe that the ingestion of cow hormones contributes to the crowding of teeth, gum problems and the need for braces. Also, antibiotics added to the cows’ feed appear in their milk.

When you add acid rain, herbicides, and pesticides to the antibiotics, steroids, and hormones in milk (which are concentrated into cheese), you get a very harmful food product.

Margarine

In 1994 Harvard researchers reported that people who ate partially hydrogenated oils had twice the risk of heart attacks as those who did not. Hydrogenation actually makes the molecular structure of oil one molecule away from PLASTIC! Your digestive enzymes do not assimilate plastic.

Here’s another cool experiment! Take a tub of margarine and put it in a garage or shady place. Take off the lid and when you come back in a couple of days you will be amazed at what you don’t find. No insects, no flies, and no pesky fruit flies will go near it. Insects are smarter than we are! It does not rot or smell any different. Nothing will grow on it (not even mold!) Why? Because it’s mainly plastic!!!!!

Fruit to Avoid

Bananas, because they are practically pure sugar. Grapes and plums have too much natural yeast. Dried fruit, since it is dehydrated, is a concentrate of sugars and harbors mold.

Caffeine

Caffeine is an addictive drug and a powerful poison. Caffeine is habit-forming and when taken away from the addict, “withdrawal symptoms” are the consequence. It removes oxygen from the bloodstream. You need oxygen in your bloodstream because cancer and Candida overgrowth cannot survive in an oxygenated environment.

Caffeine is a powerful stimulant, and anything that stimulates your body, will provoke it to ferment more yeast. This is why steroids are so dangerous. Steroids are powerful stimulants of yeast and should be saved for life-threatening situations ONLY. Coffee is also extremely acidic, which is what all dis-eases like to thrive in, and is like fertilizer for yeast.

Chocolate

Chocolate cravings, most of the time, are indications of yeast overgrowths and mineral deficiencies, especially magnesium.

Artificial Sweeteners

Aspartame (Nutra-Sweet and Equal), Splenda and Sweet’ N Low, etc., must be eliminated. They are not manufactured by food companies. They are manufactured by drug companies! OTC medications, chewing gum, and children’s vitamins have them! In Europe they are banned in children’s products. My children’s multivitamin doesn’t have them!

Aspartame and other artificial sweeteners are classified as “excitotoxins,” and can literally stimulate the neurons of your brain to death, causing changes to the chemistry of your brain and brain damage of varying degrees.

Aspartame is the main ingredient in NutraSweet and Equal. It is 10 percent methanol (wood alcohol). Methanol is highly toxic. If heated above 86 degrees F, methanol converts to formaldehyde (embalming fluid!), and then into formic acid (the same poison found in the sting of fire ants! Yikes!

Recent experiments show conclusively that artificial sweeteners interfere directly with the balance of brain chemicals. Just five years after its introduction, the March, 1986, issue of the Journal of Clinical Nutrition warned that aspartame (NurtraSweet) in diet colas was linked to depression, mood swings, insomnia and fatigue, due to the creation of an imbalance of neurohormones in various parts of the brain. Powerful lobbying has kept it on the market.

There is excellent evidence that artificial sweeteners actually make you fatter! They can be from 50 to as much as 1,000 times sweeter than sugar, which can cause an abnormal rise in insulin. When insulin levels are raised, fat is stored. This is one of the reasons we see weight gain instead of mental confusion, and water retention (weight gain).

Splenda is made by adding chlorine molecules to sugar molecules. It is chlorinated sugar. Chlorine is a powerful carcinogen. It also contributed to increased body weight.

Like caffeine, aspartame and most artificial sweeteners are addictive, which makes their manufacturers happy. The more people are hooked, the more money they make. Cha-ching! It seems as though greed and profits come before people’s health and lives.

Artificial sweeteners have no useful function at all, and can only create problems for you.

Vinegar

Vinegar is usually a ferment of wine, grain, or cider. It has an alcohol base, and except for distilled vinegar, contains live mold spores. It acidifies blood and tissues, promoting the growth of bacteria, yeast, fungus, and mold.

Artificial Colorings and Preservatives

Artificial colors have been linked to cancers. Additives and preservatives decompose food and remove oxygen from whatever they decompose. This helps Candida overgrowth to thrive. Also, the liver and pancreas are severely stressed by having to deal with additives, colorings, and preservatives. Any stressed organ invite yeast to “eat” its damaged tissues. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a flavor enhancer used in processed foods, fast foods, TV dinners, canned foods, seafood, crackers, poultry, and Chinese food. Thankfully has been banned from baby food.

Beef, Pork, and Veal

Almost all commercially raised beef, pork, and veal in the USA are laced with antibiotics, steroids, hormones, herbicides, and pesticides. Pork is forbidden in the Bible, and is the only meat broth medium on which cancer cells can be encouraged to grow. Pigs eat anything, including their own feces! Gross! The cells of pork meat are hard to digest and are so huge they can clog up your kidneys. Pork is also notorious for harboring parasites. Antibiotics now go into animal feed. You eat what they ate!

Avoid smoked and aged meats as they are often contaminated with yeast mycotoxins.

Mushrooms

Most people think mushrooms are vegetables. They are not! Mushrooms are big molds, or fungi, or more correctly they are the fruit of the fungus which remains underground. In the body, mushrooms disperse fungal spores throughout blood and tissue. Mushrooms are known to cause bladder cancer.

We are doing everything we can to rid our bodies of fungi. Why ingest them and allow Candida overgrowth to thrive?

Condiments

Condiments, such as mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, soy sauce, and barbecue sauce contain vinegar, sugar, milk products, and loads of preservatives. Please read labels carefully!

Soft Drinks, Fast Foods, and Frozen Dinners

There are 2 teaspoons of sugar per ounce in soft drinks or 10 teaspoons on average in one can. The only reason you don’t vomit as a result of the overwhelming sweetness is that the phosphoric acid in soft drinks cuts the flavor. It also sweeps minerals out of the blood stream. Soft drinks sweetened with artificial sweeteners are even worse because they are neurotoxic to the brain.

Fast foods in general are loaded with trans fatty acids, so harmful to the heart and circulatory system, and MSG. Chicken nuggets are the worst! Most chicken made into “nuggets” in fast food franchises are fed a continual diet of antibiotics along with their pesticide-laden feed. foods candida thrive on

As for frozen dinners, they are high in sodium content, artificial colors and flavors that feed yeast allowing Candida overgrowth to thrive. Just remember, nobody who made them loves you.

Canned Fruits and Vegetables

All canned fruits and vegetables are virtually dead food with very little nutritional value. The canning process destroys valuable enzymes, and vitamins and minerals. Please eat fresh, living food to assist the body in healing itself. Make sure cans are not lined with plastic that contains Bisphenol-A (BPA), a powerful toxin.

Remember, nutrition is the key to the padlock.
